Overview

QR Hideout Pro uses a per-code annual pricing model starting at just $1.00/year. Due to the low price point and the nature of digital services, we offer service credits rather than cash refunds in most cases.

We believe in treating our customers fairly. If something goes wrong on our end, we'll make it right.

What Qualifies for Service Credits

We provide service credits or refunds for the following situations:

  • Service Outages: If QR Hideout experiences significant downtime affecting your QR codes, we'll credit your account proportionally.
  • Technical Failures: If our redirect service fails to work correctly due to a bug or infrastructure issue on our end.
  • Billing Errors: Duplicate charges, incorrect amounts, or unauthorized renewals will be fully refunded.
  • Feature Non-Delivery: If a paid feature (like custom domains or analytics) doesn't work as advertised.

What Does Not Qualify

Due to the low price point ($1-2.50/year per code) and payment processing costs, we cannot provide refunds for:

  • Change of Mind: Deciding you no longer need the service after purchase.
  • Unused Codes: QR codes that were created but not used during the billing period.
  • User Errors: Incorrect URLs, typos in encoded data, or design choices that affect scannability.
  • Third-Party Issues: Problems with destination URLs, app compatibility, or scanning devices not within our control.

Why No Prorated Cash Refunds?

At $1.00/year, payment processing fees make prorated refunds impractical:

  • Stripe charges $0.30 + 2.9% per transaction (non-refundable)
  • A $0.50 refund would cost us more in fees than the refund amount
  • Service credits provide more value and can be applied instantly

How Service Credits Work

  • 1.Applied to Account: Credits are added to your account balance automatically.
  • 2.Never Expire: Service credits remain on your account until used.
  • 3.Auto-Applied: Credits are automatically used for renewals and new purchases.
  • 4.Transferable: Credits can be used for any QR codes or add-ons in your account.

If something goes wrong on our end, we'll make it right.

Contact us and we'll work with you to find a fair solution - whether that's account credits, extended service, or in serious cases, a refund.

QR Hideout runs on Cloudflare (310+ global data centers) and Supabase infrastructure. You can view their public status pages anytime.

How to Request a Credit or Refund

To request a service credit or report an issue:

  2. 2.Include your account email and affected QR code IDs
  3. 3.Describe the issue with dates and times if applicable
  4. 4.We'll respond within 1-2 business days

For billing errors or duplicate charges, we'll process refunds within 5-10 business days back to your original payment method.
